The History of National Rental Affordability Scheme

Whenever you hear of national rental affordability scheme, you think about affordable housing. This is a scheme that was developed in 2008 by the Australian Government to ensure that housing is affordable for every member of the community. This was a scheme that was started in partnership with various territories. The scheme was also developed to tackle the issue of the shortage of reasonably priced rental housing by providing locals with monetary incentives to organizations that are community and commercial- based to assist in constructing and renting houses to low income wage earners. This would effectively endure that every person earning whatever amount of income would still be able to afford a comfortable home without worrying too much about high rent arrears. This initiative will in turn increase the number of affordable houses for the ever- growing population while at the same time making sure that rent charges are at an all time low.
